About the Event

What is Messy Church?

‘What,’ I hear you say, ‘is Messy Church’?  Well, Messy Church is an opportunity for families of all ages, to meet together to have fun making things, having a bit of refreshment, listening to a short story. It’s an opportunity for parents and children to do something together that’s a bit different.  It’s a chance to be together as part of a bigger family, learning new things experiencing new things.

For us as a church it is an opportunity to share something of what it means to be a follower of Jesus.  He is the one who said “let the little children come to me”, and so Messy Church is for children of all ages, giving everyone a chance to express their God given creativity within a church context.

We aim to :-

 provide a time for all ages to be together

 help all feel that they belong

 encourage all to have fun

 give everyone a chance to be creative

 show that being a friend of Jesus isn’t weird

 introduce people to Jesus, through friendship, crafts, stories and prayer

Our Messy Church time runs something like this

welcome & refreshments

song and short story

craft activity

short prayer

home time.

If you know anyone who would like to come, please tell them about our Messy Church

Please note that parent/carer must stay with their child.
