Stay and Play Group
Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 - 11:45am
The cost is £2.00 per child and 25p for a hot drink for Adults.
Everyone is welcome, no need to book a place.
We are a very friendly and welcoming group.
Our usual routine for a session
9.30am Free Play (with a different crafts activity each week).
Children arrive any time up to 10.00am.
10.40am Snack Time.
Children sit around a table together or in high chairs.
Adults can have a hot drink and biscuit.
11.00am Free Play (without crafts)
11.30am Nursery Rhymes Time (with Jolly Phonic).
Everyone sits on our large mat.
Where we sing and do actions to classic nursery rhymes.
We are introducing the children to phonic sounds in a
fun form. They also do music and movement using balls,
ribbons and scarves.
11.45am Home time.
The children are able to play with:
Climbing fame with slide (which is placed on a foam mat),
Ride on trucks
Dressing up clothes,
Push chairs, dolls,
Brio train set,
Car park and mini cars,
For younger members
There are mats with soft toys and baby toys.
Rainbows is the youngest section of Girl Guiding UK, for girls aged 5 and 7 years and of all abilities. They follow a programme that involves a wide range of activities, which includes badge work, crafts, games, special events, day trips and sleepovers.
Being a Rainbow is all about learning, developing self-confidence, building friendships and of course having lots of fun.
It is always advisable to put your girl’s name down on our waiting list, as soon as possible, as places are limited.
Names can be put down as young as 3 years old.
Brownies are girls aged between 7 and 10 years. They follow a programme called “Brownie Adventure”.
The name reflects the world of exciting opportunities, challenges and fun that is Brownies.
Girls can participate in a wide range of activities at the regular meetings, and at special events, day trips, sleep overs and holidays.
They can find themselves trying out arts and crafts, recipes,
playing energetic games, or taking part in community action projects.
Girls can also extend their knowledge and abilities by working towards Brownie interest badges covering many different hobbies and activities from science investigator to circus skills.
